Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has issued a strong warning to Manchester United regarding the transfer of Jadon Sancho.
The teenager has attracted a lot of interests since he broke through the Dortmund senior team from the start of this season. The 18 year old has lightened up the Bundesliga with his attacking antics and his excellent form hasn’t gone unnoticed.
According to a number of reports, United are readying an offer for the winger in the summer and could break the £100m barrier for the English international. Sancho didn’t get the chance to showcase his skills in the Premier League during his stay at Manchester City.
United are slated to invest big in the summer in a bid to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment and Sancho is one of their main targets. But Zorc has claimed the youngster will be at the German club beyond this season.
“I’m a far cry from putting a price tag on Jadon.
“But I’m saying that even the biggest clubs in the world can hardly afford his transfer at the moment.
“Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season. We are definitely planning with him.
“I’m also aware that the efforts – especially of the English clubs – to sign him will be stronger and stronger if he continues to play like that.
“He will certainly not play in Dortmund until the end of his career. That is also part of the truth. But for the summer, I’m pretty sure the players we want to keep will stay with us.”
