Manchester United are considering alternatives for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Jose Mourinho is keen to sign another central midfielder

Manchester United are looking to bolster their squad in the transfer window after an underwhelming campaign last season, not winning a single silverware.

The Red Devils are expected to be very busy in the summer transfer window and have started the transfer window in an excellent way.

They have already completed two signings, teenage full-back Diogo Dalot has signed from Porto, while a £52.5 million fee has been agreed with Shakhtar Donetsk for Brazil international Fred.

Though Jose Mourinho signed the Brazilian as a replacement for Michael Carrick but is keen to add another central midfielder before the transfer window closes. Marouane Fellaini likely to leave the club on a free transfer next month as he is yet to agree a new contract extension and the club wants someone to replace him.

Mourinho is keen to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. He has garnered a reputation as one of the most talented players on the planet and has been most demanded player this summer.

The midfielder joined the Italian side from the Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2015. He has been a mainstay in the club since then and has scored 17 goals from 94 appearances for the club.

The Serbian is considered the biggest star of his country right now and the Serie A giants have set a €100 million price tag on the player who has been often compared with Zinedine Zidane.

The English side are unwilling to pay such a high fee for the Serbia International and have turned their attention towards another Serie A ace.

Manchester United eyeing Roma ace Lorenzo Pellegrini as alternative to Savic according to The Sun. The club now have reportedly made him their top target.

The 22 year joined the youth academy of the Serie A giants at the age of 9 but was sold to Sassuolo for a fee of €1.25 million in 2015 with the club retaining a buy back clause.

Giallorossi exercised the buy back clause of €10 million and brought back the Italian on a 5 year deal last summer. He was a regular last season for the club, scoring 3 goals and assisting 5 in 36 appearances in all competitions.

The Premier League giants have also been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic and Lyon starlet Tanguy N’Dombele.
