Manchester United are planning a double swoop for Crystal Palace duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick van Aanholt.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to add some new faces to the squad and is on the lookout for potential targets. The manager wants to add some pace to his squad and has identified the Palace pair in a bid to inject some much needed quality to the squad.

Wan-Bissaka’s transformation has been one of the success stories of this campaign. The 21 year old has been a regular feature on the right side of the defence and despite having Diogo Dalot in the squad the Norwegian is gunning for a new right back.

Luke Shaw was adjudged the Manchester United player of the year but keeping in mind of his persistent injury problems a move for van Aanholt makes sense. The 28 year old has enormous experience of top flight football and could provide some serious competitions.

The Dutch international is a genuine threat on the flanks and defensively is also very precise. Palace manager Roy Hodgson insisted earlier he wants to get hold all of his prized assets.

There’s nobody at the club who is anxious to see any of those players leave the club, in fact it’s the reverse.

“We’ve committed them to long-term contracts.

“[Michy] Batshuayi is a different case because he’s on loan. But [the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Wan-Bissaka and Van Aanholt] are committed to us on long-term contracts and we believe they have an important part to play here.”
