Manchester United Pick Bargain Defender To Counter Stalled Wan-Bissaka Transfer

The stalled transfer status of Aaron Wan-Bissaka has forced Manchester United to look into an alternate option in Norwich City’s Max Aarons.

The Red Devils are heavy favourites to land the Crystal Palace right-back this summer but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has found it difficult to convince the Eagles into parting ways with the 21-year-old.

United have agreed to pay £35m for the England U21 international and an extra £15m in additional clauses but Palace are looking to bag the entire £50m up front. Should the deal collapse in the coming weeks, the Old Trafford-based outfit is expected to take a run at the Norwich’s leading defender.

Aarons has jumped into the limelight with his winning performances this past season. The 19-year-old caught the eye of many when he helped his team win the Championship and earn promotion back to the Premier League.

In the process, he got named as the EFL Young Player Of The Season. United are impressed by the player’s attitude and is more than willing to pay his £15m asking price.

However, the Red Devils fans will debate on whether he will be an improvement to the already present young fullback, Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese has shown a lot of promise as a rising prospect in the Old Trafford ranks but it cannot be said for sure if Aarons is any better than him at this very moment.
