Old habits die hard for Jose Mourinho

Manchester United sacked Jose Mourinho in the last month of 2018 after the club suffered a wretched run which saw them pick up 26 points from 17 games.

Jose had a good start to life in England this time when he came back to Chelsea and won the league title in his second season at London but ended up getting sacked.

The process repeated in Manchester where despite winning 3 trophies in the first season, he got sacked last year.

It was 3rd sack of his career, something the Potuguese should look to change. He has now yet again taken a swipe at a former club, something he is becoming notoriously popular for.

“It’s difficult for me to talk about Manchester,” Mourinho – who won the Europa League and EFL Cup following his arrival in 2016 – told RMC Sport.

“I can’t talk about them in the same joy and freedom as I talk about other clubs.”

“I have a lot of qualities and one of them is to respect other clubs and their management,” Mourinho added. “I have never spoken like ‘this club wanted me, they contacted me’.

“When I left Manchester United in December, I immediately took the decision I want to work from summer. I hope to be back to work in July in a project I really like.”
