Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Conveys a Message To Manchester United Players

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued a warning to Manchester United players insisting he only needs players who would be able to match his philosophy.

United’s recent dip in form has seen them crashing out of the Champions League and also moving out of the top four.

The Red Devils are not assured of a Champions League spot as of now and a victory over Chelsea on Sunday would lift them to the fifth place provided Arsenal lose their match against Leicester City.

The Norwegian almost spent his entire playing career at United and thus understands the pulse of the club more than any other. United are likely to undergo a squad overhaul in the summer and Solskjaer is poised to have his say on the summer transfers- in and out.

Solskjaer said, “It’s not like playing Football Manager this, you know.

“There’s players that we maybe have expressed an interest in and if they’re not available for sale, it’s not just like ‘I’ll get him’.”

“We have to have the right type of player, with the right quality and the right personality. If they’re driven by money or fame then they’re not right for Man United or right for my team.

“I’ve been the same at Molde and Cardiff and I’ve been the same here. I need players who can reflect me as a person as well and my values.”
