Top Manchester United players to be sold Fred

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has advised Fred to use all the opportunities he gets in a bid to prove his worth for Manchester United.

The Brazilian midfielder arrived in summer and had hoped to have a positive impact but so far he has been unable to make his presence felt.

Former manager Jose Mourinho hardly used him while the present boss has mostly preferred the trio of Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba in the middle of the pitch.

All the midfielders have their own capabilities and the 25 year old can also add a different dimension to the game. With Solskjaer running out of options in the midfield the Brazilian set to be handed a start when United visit Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Solskjaer said, “Play well when he gets a chance.

Keep training, keep working. We’ve had a midfield three of Herrera, Pogba and Matic, and they’ve done really well together.

“It’s not like we’ve been really bogged down with too many games. That why we’ve kept them three together. McTominay was the obvious choice against Liverpool because he’s an academy kid. We had five academy kids on the pitch at one point. He knows what it means.

“Fred will get his chances – maybe tomorrow.”
