Peter Schmeichel Heaps Praises On Manchester United Manager

Peter Schmeichel insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought back the Manchester United feel at the club since he took over the charge.

United haven’t lost in the Premier League since his induction in the dugout. The likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony martial and Marcus Rashford have found their rhythm back and have been leading the side from the front.

In this fairytale journey, United have dominated most of the matches and have defeated Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and Arsenal and Chelsea in the FA Cup.

The Norwegian manager is leading the race to become the permanent manager and as things stand it’s only a matter of time before the club confirms his appointment.

Schmeichel said, “It’s been really good to have this Manchester United mentality, culture, identity back at the club. You only have to look at the results to see how important that has been.

“You can argue it’s a free ride for him because he’s there on a short-term basis and he’s going to be evaluated for the job on a permanent basis.

“But you know he can go on and he can set his team free, go and attack, go and have fun, commit people forward and try to score goals.

“That’s a tiny bit easier when you have nothing to lose. If you lose a game you don’t lose your job because you are only there as it is now on a temporary basis. But he’s put himself as a front runner [for the permanent manager’s job] for sure, he has done incredibly well.”
