When 18 year old Marcus Rashford broke into the scene for the first time, United fans felt the familiar joy of watching one of their own take the world stage and make it his own.
In his debut season, he scored the winner against Arsenal and Manchester City and as the years progressed, he became more lethal and a big stage player.
He scored the big goals, he became faster and stronger and last to last season, scored a brilliant double against Liverpool at Old Trafford; talk about warming up the fans!
He has now reached the age of 21 and steadily pushed out the likes of Martial, Lukaku and Sanchez to become their number one striker.
He however, has only one year left on his contract and United will surely not want to lose out on a player who can possibly become one of the best in the world.
Reports had previously suggested that Rashford was holding United to the gun and asking for a bumper contract or threatening to leave.
Newer reports have crushed the old ones and now it is being stated that he is close to a new contract which both parties will find suitable and wants to stay at Old Trafford to make United the force they once were!
Way to show loyalty, Marcus! This is the game we love, it is so much more than just the 90 minutes on the pitch!
