RB Leipzig's Paul Mitchell Leading The Race To Be The Next Manchester United Sporting Director

Paul Mitchell has emerged as the leading candidate to land the role of the Sporting Director at Manchester United.

The 37 year old had been at the Premier League for a long time working hand to hand with Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Regarded as one of the best in business he has been offered the chance to renew his association with RB Leipzig and should he put pen to paper to the six year deal the Red Devils would have to look elsewhere.

United hierarchy already stated the need of a technical director at the club who would be responsible for all the first team activities and will also have a major say in the transfers.

Former manager Jose Mourinho was very unwilling to work with an extra man as he used to report directly to United chief executive Ed Woodward but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already welcomed the move.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring his development and could launch an attempt to bring back the player to the English top flight.
