Troubled La Liga Keeper Wants Manchester United Move

According to the latest reports, Jan Oblak wants to leave Atletico Madrid and Manchester United is his most desired destination.

The La Liga goalkeeper is one of the very best in the world and signed a contract extension in April which includes a release clause worth €120m (£107m). He insists that he is happy at the Wanda Metropolitano but he would not hesitate to leave if the club doesn’t express the same amount of ambition as him.

“I will stay at Atletico as long as their ambitions match mine,” he said. “And some people might think their ambitions have lowered, as big players have left. I am sure the club will do everything possible to sign quality players. When I signed my new contract they gave me guarantees about the club’s ambition.”

ESPN claims that the 26-year-old is open to leave Atletico and is being pursued by both Paris Saint-Germain and the Red Devils. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has fallen into a precarious position with David De Gea in only 6 months of managing United.

The Spaniard has demanded a contract at the same level of pay as his teammate, Alexis Sanchez. Ed Woodward has rejected those demands and PSG are looking to swoop in for the 28-year-old.

De Gea only has a year left in his contract and United will have to make the decision of either selling him this very summer or letting him walk for free in the next.
