Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly set his sights on signing Jadon Sancho and James Maddison in the next summer transfer window. The Norwegian boss is looking to build a British core at Old Trafford and views the English duo as the perfect men who match that criteria.

United sold Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan without signing a replacement. However, they improved their backline by signing the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils also signed Daniel James, who is currently the leading goalscorer of the club with 3 goals in 5 games.

Sancho was a top yarget for United this summer but Solskjaer missed out on his fact due to the inability of offering him Champions League football this season. The former Manchester City winger has made waves since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Leicester midfielder James Maddison was also a rumoured target for the club this summer. The playmaker recently earned his first England call-up and has been impressive in the Premier League since joining the Foxes. Solskjaer couldn’t sign two Leicester City players in the same window as it would have been a complicated affair.

However, it remains to be seen if the United mamager does go for Maddison next summer.
