Paulo Dybala – A name that Manchester United fans have been uttering far too frequently for the past few days. The Juventus striker, a bona fide superstar, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer. Apparently, Manchester United are trying to chisel out a deal that will see Romelu Lukaku moving to Juventus while the Argentinian clears his lockers at the Allianz to embrace Old Trafford as his new home.

Solskjaer has already revealed his admiration for Dybala in midst of rumours linking him to the  Red Devils. While the 25-year-old will no doubt be an upgrade in the current squad, there are certain reasons why Manchester United would be better off dropping the chase for the forward.

Let’s have a look at five reasons why United should refrain from signing the Bianconeri number 10.

If all that the reports say is true, It’s Juventus who want Paulo Dybala to go to Manchester United in exchange for Romelu Lukaku. Nowhere does it say that the player himself is interested in the move.

Dybala is reportedly not ready to sacrifice Champions League football to play in the Europa League for a year. Fair enough, no player at Juventus would do so, knowing that they are the top contenders to win the Champions League this season.

Solskjaer is in the midst of building a project at Old Trafford. He needs to have players who are actually ready to play for the club, to play for the badge and to help them find lost glories. Apparently, Dybala doesn’t seem to fit the bill in that sense.

In spite of that reason, if United do pull out all stops to sign the Argentinian they risk repeating the Angel Di Maria case yet again.
