According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan have agreed on personal terms with Alexis Sanchez and are in talks to finalize a move with Manchester United.

The 30-year-old joined the Red Devils in a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan 18 months ago. However, Sanchez has endured a tough time at Old Trafford, having scored just 5 goals in 41 appearances for the club.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stated that the Chilean might have a future at the club this season, but it’s no secret he would like to get Sanchez off the wage books. According to reports, Inter are now negotiating a loan deal for the player with an option to buy the player after 12 months.

Although, it remains to be seen if the Nerrazurri agrees to cover the entire wages of Sanchez, which has been a stumbling block for other clubs interested in signing him.

Sanchez is set to miss United’s away clash with Wolves as he remains three weeks behind in fitness due to an extended holiday following the Copa America.

If Inter do fail to land him, they will turn their attention to Tottenham’s Fernando Llorente. They have already signed Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United for £73m.

Antonio Conte’s men will kickstart their Serie A campaign against Lecce on 27 August.
