Ander Herrera Backs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer To Be The Permanent Manchester United Manager

Ander Herrera insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be handling Manchester United on a permanent basis.

The Norwegian was given the interim charge following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal and since then has revitalised the entire United squad. Very little was expected from him but Solskjaer has brought back the belief and United have looked like an entirely different unit under his tutelage.

Top four seemed to be a distant dream under Mourinho’s time but the Red Devils have cemented their place in the fourth position. Moreover wins over Arsenal and Chelsea helped them getting through to the FA Cup quarters and they now do have a realistic chance to win a trophy this season.

Herrera has been a regular in the midfield since the former United forward took up the managerial responsibility. Currently recovering from an injury the Spanish midfielder feels Solskjaer is the perfect man for the United job.

“If I was sporting director of a club tomorrow, I would sign Ole. But I respect the people that take the decisions and I’m not going to say what they should do.

“Ole has a quality that is difficult to have in football, which is to have the affection of all the players – the players who play and the ones who don’t play as much.

“I don’t know how he did it, but he had that click with players who can change games. He’s clicked with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard.”
