Ben Foster: Vidic was scary to play against in training

The goalkepeer of Watford, Ben Foster, spent part of his career in Manchester United.

Foster never got a chance to be the first goalkeeper of the “Red Devils”, but he had the opportunity to defend some cup matches, and he was constantly training with the first team because for some time he was the second goalkeeper of the team.

Now the experienced goalkeeper remembered the time spent at Old Trafford and the training sessions with Nemanja Vidic, for whom he pointed out that he was a really eerie and fierce type of training, but outside of him he was a completely different person.

-Nemanja off the field was quite quiet, but in training… That man, to be honest, was a pretty scary character, awful. He didn’t care if it was a match or a training session. If we play five out of five or six out of six, and you are in his team, it’s scary. At that time, I was just praying that I wasn’t in Nemanja’s team. If he hadn’t won, and if I conceded a goal that I would have been guilty of, he would have let me know. He would find you wherever you hid, he was like that with everyone. He was eerie in training, but off the field a completely different character, – said Foster.

Ben Foster then pointed out that the Vidic-Ferdinand tandem should be declared the most impressive in the history of the Premier League.
