Bruno Fernandes Admits Tottenham Draw 'Not Enough' For Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes was not happy collecting just one point from the Tottenham Hotspur fixture like the rest of the fans.

Spurs broke the deadlock through an incredible solo effort from Steven Bergwijn but United pulled one back through Fernandes’ successful spot-kick.

Paul Pogba won his team the penalty and Bruno Fernandes was in a similar position but his decision was overturned. Referee, Paul Tierney though the Portuguese was maliciously brought down in the Tottenham box but it turned out to be a simple shift of balance.

Tottenham were the better side early on but the Red Devils caught more of a grip in the second half. United fans got to see the highly anticipated partnership of Bruno and Pogba in play, delivering exactly what was expected. After the full 90, they walked away feeling like two points were dropped.

Fernandes’ words after the match, “It is not enough for us because we want to win every game. It is a ‘good’ result but we are not happy with it.”

Manchester United are fifth in the table with Chelsea now 2 points ahead and Tottenham trailing by four. Surely, every match counts in the race for a top-four finish.
