Bruno Fernandes Has Shown Out Paul Pogba At Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes has arrived at Manchester United and put Paul Pogba on notice, according to Emmanuel Petit.

The Red Devils spent £55m to get him from Sporting Lisbon and so far, the move looks like a jackpot hit.

Fernandes has quickly become a fan favourite, helping United move closer to the Premier League fourth spot. His arrival has of course, put pressure on record signing, Pogba for obvious reasons.

The Frenchman has been limited to just 5 starts this season due to injuries and has been constantly linked with a move away from Old Trafford. Petit believes that Fernandes has taken over Pogba’s creative role and is flourishing.

Speaking to the Mirror, the former Arsenal and Chelsea player said: “Fernandes has made a huge impact. In the space of two months he is the best buy in the winter market. He has made such a big impact. It’s like he’s been at the club for six years.

“He’s changed the mentality inside the dressing room. It’s hard for a player to come in mid-season and do that. Paul Pogba was meant to be doing this at Manchester United. It’s what he should have done in terms of leadership on the pitch. But I’m looking forward to seeing them together on the pitch, I want to see if that can work, and I’m pretty sure it can work.”
