Man United is expected to be very active in the summer window.

Erik ten Hag has his first team at his disposal as they take on arch-rivals Man City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Manchester United has finished third in the Premier League, won the Carabao Cup and reached the finals of the FA Cup.

But despite the progress, United still finished 14 points behind noisy neighbours Man City.

Last summer arrival, Casemiro, who has been pivotal for United’s resurgence this campaign calls for more world-class stars to bridge that gap.

“When top-class players come in, quality players, it’s always welcome,” said Casemiro.

“We always want quality players and it’s always the case that the more options you have, it’s important to have as much quality in the squad as you can. But us players know that there are people who have the knowledge to do that.

“We’ve got John [Murtough, United director of football] who signed me and brought me here, so I have complete faith in him, along with his staff and the manager. It’s always the club that has the final say and it’s not us players who need to be putting our noses into this.”
