Manchester United Injury Update: Yoro, Dalot, Zirkzee – Latest News and Return Dates Ahead of Europa League Final

Manchester United will head into their season-defining Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao with several injury concerns clouding their preparations.

The Red Devils, who were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Chelsea on Friday, now shift full focus to the final on May 21 – a last shot at silverware and Champions League qualification.

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has been juggling a growing injury list, with key players racing against time to be fit for the showdown in Spain.

Diogo Dalot picked up a calf injury during the 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Easter Sunday. Despite the setback, the Portuguese full-back has been pushing hard for a return.

He was seen training individually at Carrington midweek, sparking hope of a comeback. “Dalot is trying really bad,” said Amorim.

“We can’t take big risks, but he’s giving everything to be ready.” A return against Spurs is still possible.

Matthijs de Ligt, who has had a stop-start campaign, limped off during United’s dramatic 4-3 defeat to Brentford with a knee issue.

The Dutch defender missed training this week, and Amorim admitted it’s a race against time for his inclusion. “It’s a final, and everyone wants to play,” the coach added.

Leny Yoro also remains doubtful after suffering a foot injury against West Ham. He was seen limping out of Old Trafford and missed full training, working instead in the gym. Like Dalot and De Ligt, he’s targeting a return on May 21.

Joshua Zirkzee, initially ruled out for the season with a hamstring injury, is now making a late push to return. Amorim revealed the forward is “preparing for the next one,” but the final remains a possible target if fitness improves.

Meanwhile, Jonny Evans trained midweek but didn’t travel to London, and Lisandro Martinez remains sidelined long-term following ACL surgery – he won’t return before August.

With multiple players fighting to be fit, United’s medical team faces a crucial few days before the high-stakes clash in Bilbao.
