David De Gea Demanding Pay Parity With Top Earner Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United keeper David De Gea is determined to keep hold of his wage demand and has refused to give up.

The Spaniard is looking for some pay parity with Alexis Sanchez who currently takes home around £400,000 a week. De Gea is looking for a significant pay rise and has asked for a new pay packet in the tune of £350,000 per week.

United have been trying to negotiate a new contract with the goal keeper but so far haven’t been able to settle down. The club hierarchy is pushing the player to commit to a long term contract but the player is in no mood to give in to is demand.

De Gea’s original deal was supposed to end this summer but United triggered a one year option and they have some more time to finish the negotiations. The club doesn’t want to end it on a bitter note and has been trying to offer the player possibly the best deal in the offing.

De Gea is on a £200,000 per week pay scale and given his current form he definitely deserves a hike. The 28 year old has been a one man army in the Red Devils backline and has unarguably been their best player in the last few seasons.
