Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea praised his team following their 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

A first-half goal from Marcus Rashford thanks to a brilliant Paul Pogba pass saw Manchester United registering 6 wins out of 6 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, it was David de Gea who stole the show and pulled off 11 saves.

Following the match, De Gea said, “We won the game against a top team like Tottenham, we controlled the first half but in the second half they put on a lot of pressure and had chances. I was feeling very well with the first two saves, it was a great game.

I don’t even remember some of the saves so I can’t pick a best. The manager brought some happiness, the players are playing well and the team is very strong now. We know how to control the games, how to keep the ball, how to create chances, which is very good for us. This is the real Manchester United.”

The win against Spurs is Manchester United’s first away win over Tottenham since March, 2012. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now equaled Sir Matt Busby’s record of winning his first five league games as Manchester United manager.

The Red Devils are now level on points with Arsenal and are only 6 points behind the top four. Their next match is against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
