Diogo Dalot

Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot said that he felt delighted to make his debut for the club. The 19-year old made his debut for Manchester United in their Champions League opener against Young Boys.

Dalot had an impressive outing and many praised his performance. Manchester United won the match 3-0 thanks to a brace from Paul Pogba and a goal from Anthony Martial.

Diogo Dalot joined Manchester United from Porto this summer on a transfer fee of £19 million. He could not make his debut for the club earlier because of a knee injury but is approaching full fitness now.

Dalot said of his debut, “It was very good.  The team have helped me and prepared me for this. I am happy for the debut and for the win. That is most important. I think it was a good win.

Most of the Young Boys team is used to playing on this pitch. We are not. It was tough but we needed to be prepared for that.”

Manchester United are currently 8th in the Premier League table and play their next fixture against Wolves tomorrow.
