Donny van de Beek is reportedly planning to find an exit from Manchester United in January. The Dutchman was denied a switch over the summer but he is still seeking assurance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Netherlands international has only played 141 minutes for Man United this term. He has only featured once in the Premier League at the start of 2021-22.

The 24-year-old was not even introduced in the Champions League clash with Villarreal at Old Trafford. Van de Beek has scored one goal and provided two assists in 39 outings for Man United.

Daily Mail reports, Van de Beek will make another attempt to leave the club in the next transfer window. Former Ajax player is determined to regain his spot in the Netherlands squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Some reports also claim that Everton showed interest to sign the Dutchman on loan in the latter stages of the summer window. Manchester United blocked this move.

The Telegraph reporter reports that ‘there was interest in Van de Beek in the summer but United chose to keep him at the club, where he was looking to play more than his four Premier League starts last season following a year of adapting to English football.’

‘His only appearance in the Premier League has been five minutes as a substitute after victory was all-but-secured against Newcastle United, with Scott McTominay, Fred and Nemanja Matic all seemingly further up the pecking order heading into this weekend’s game against Everton,’ McGrath reports in Telegraph.
