Erik ten Hag has grown frustrated with Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial could be on his way out this summer.

The Frenchman has missed 20 out of 34 games for the Red Devils this campaign and had five separate injury lay-offs.

He has endured a difficult season with injuries and hasn’t completed 90 minutes for the club in over two years.

Both parties are expected to part ways this summer even though Martial’s contract with United expires in the summer of 2024.

The Red Devils will definitely be on the market for a new striker and some fringe players alongside Martial could be offloaded when the season ends.

“No, every time in different areas. At the minute, it is his hip,” Ten Hag said. “He is not always available, but also I see the other side when he is available. He was never 100 per cent this season but he had a big impact every time he is available, even when he is at 80, 85, 90 per cent.

“He is not always available and we want him to be always available because that will improve our game and because routines can’t become routines when you are not always available.”
