Erik ten Hag demands attitude from his players against Liverpool.

The Red Devils suffered humiliating defeats in their first two games of the new Premier League season.

Manager Erik ten Hag claims his philosophy means nothing if the players fail to show the right attitude.

In their last game against Brentford, the Bees tore apart the Man United defence in the first half with four goals in 35 minutes.

Ten Hag insists his players need to show a greater fight against Liverpool on Monday night at Old Trafford.

“I think I made myself clear, I was definitely not happy,” said the Dutch coach. “You can talk about football philosophy, but the basic stuff has to be good.

“That starts with the right attitude, a fighting attitude on the pitch. I didn’t see that from minute one. You have to bring it every game.

“It starts with yourself. Act as a team, follow the rules and principles and work hard. If you do that you get confidence.”
