The duo paired a deadly partnership at Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United is yet to announce the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund after agreeing to a £72.9m fee for the England international.

His former club teammate Erling Haaland is sad to see his partner leave Signal Iduna Park who is set to become the club’s third most expensive signing of all time.

The duo has scored a combination of 52 goals last season with Dortmund.

Haaland is himself targeted by some elite European clubs this summer but he has decided to not make a move in this transfer window.

“Me and Jadon understood each other very well and he’s a top player,’ Haaland told Stadium Astro.

“So of course it’s sad that he goes but that’s how it is and that’s football. You never know what will happen.

“But I think that there’s a lot of other good players that I have a good tone with and it can become even better.

“We have to see who I match the best with.”
