Erling Haaland completely shut down rumours of him moving to Manchester United with a two-worded sentence.
The Red Bull Salzburg forward has grabbed plenty of headlines this season with his 26 goals in 18 games.
He also set the record of being the first teenager to score 7 goals in his first 4 Champions League games. Needless to say, the 19-year-old is running hot right now and many clubs want him, including Manchester United.
“I relate well to [the rumours],” he said when asked to discuss his future. Haaland was then asked, “Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid: what do you think about playing at any of them?” to which he replied, “You know my answer. No comment.”
He was further probed about the prospect of playing next to Cristiano Ronaldo. He simply said once again, “No comment.”
Many have marked United to be the frontrunners for his signature since Haaland played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde. The striker did not reveal any talks with his former talks and is completely disinterested in discussing his future.
Red Bull Salzburg values him at £100m which is already a disheartening figure for most clubs. Whether United will spend that sort of cash on a teenager remains to be seen, especially when they are in dire need of more creative talent.
