According to reports, Turkish side Fenerbache are interested in signing Manchester United outcast Marcos Rojo this summer.

The Argentine joined the Red Devils in 2014 after an impressive World Cup campaign. However, he has been unable to make an impact at Old Trafford, failing to cement a place in the starting XI due to recurring injuries.

Rojo has fallen down the pecking order with the arrival of record signing Harry Maguire. Solskjaer is also said to be keen on offloading him after deeming him surplus to requirements.

Everton made a last-ditch attempt to sign Rojo on loan on the deadline day, but a move failed to materialise as United were adamant on selling him in a permanent deal. Fenerbache are hoping that the Red Devils will be lenient this time around and let him join the club on a free loan.

Fenerbache are viewing Rojo as an alternative to Marcos Rojo, after being rejected by Aleksander Kolarov, in a deal worth €2.5m.

Manchester United are set to take on Wolverhampton on Monday at Molineux but Rojo’s role in the clash remains doubtful. Fenerbache will start their league campaign against Gazisehir on Monday.
