Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not convinced that Manchester United’s results under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be the same in the long run. Mourinho feels that the Norwegian’s results will be good at the beginning but it’s doubtful of it will be as consistent during the longer run as it is now.

While talking about Fulham sacking Claudio Ranieri and appointing the inexperienced Scott Parker as the interim manager, Mourinho spoke about Solskjaer’s situation.

The Portuguese said, Can (Fulham) get a better manager than Claudio? Not at all. Can you compare the experience between Claudio and Scott, who is going to coach a team for the first time? Not at all. But sometimes in football, and you have the example with my former club (Man Utd hiring Solskjaer), that sometimes changes on the immediate – I don’t believe too much in these changes in the long term – but these changes on the immediate, there are sometimes some positive results.”

Manchester United have done pretty well under Solskjaer so far, going unbeaten in all of their Premier League matches. They are back to the top four of the Premier League and are in a good position to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Manchester United next play the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against PSG at Paris on Wednesday.
