Jose Mourinho’s return to the Premier League action will be against his former team.

Despite his charisma, Jose Mourinho is known to hold a grudge over his former relations that went south and clearly he has been unable to keep it on the low, according to the Athletic.

The Portuguese boss took a swipe at United’s current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about the fact that Ole may be out of his managerial depth at the club.

The Special one may not be wrong on a tactical level but in terms of team spirit and pride, Ole has done a far better job than Jose at Old Trafford.

Ole’s former teammate Ryan Giggs jumped to the defence of the current United boss and subtly had a dig back at Mourinho when questioned about his opinion on Jose’s alleged comment.

Giggs said, “They’re not only good players, but they look like they are good characters who want to play for United and maybe that was missing for a couple of years, so to get that back has been great.”

The tension is set to be rising ahead of the crucial top 4 clash between Spurs and United who are both chasing Champions League spots. Jose will have a full team back and so will United and it remains to be seen who comes out on top at the end of 90 minutes.
