Reputed journalist Guillem Balague has provided an update regarding the current situation of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The defender has been targeted by Manchester United in a bid to improve the defensive crisis at the club. The Red Devils have had a torrid run in the top flight this term and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eyeing at least one defender in the summer transfer window.
United are believed to be interested in Leicester City defender Harry Maguire but Koulibaly remains their top priority. Napoli has maintained their firm stand on the player’s availability but United are ready to shell out the big bucks for the defender.
Balague said, “Koulibaly is obviously a target for Manchester United, not just for Manchester United
“Napoli are saying £120/130m, but generally they don’t want to sell.
“That figure, it’s a figure that they may sit down on the table for, but it comes accompany with the line that they don’t wanna sell.
“So they’re not in a rush to do so and it will have to be for a lot of money.”
