Arsenal legend Ian Wright thinks that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is at the risk of upsetting Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford by playing Alexis Sanchez.

Alexis Sanchez’s performances for Manchester United are lackluster this season so far. It’s been a while since Martial or Rashford started a Premier League game for Manchester United.

Martial started in Manchester United’s Champions League opener against Young Boys and scored a goal as they won 3-0.

Neither of Martial or Rashford started in United’s 1-1 draw against Wolves. While Martial came on as a sub, Rashford wasn’t even in the squad.

Ian Wright believes that it’s time Sanchez was dropped and Martial and Rashford are given a chance. Wright said, “He’s not even scoring goals so you’d think once he nicks a goal he’ll be back but it doesn’t even look like he’s going to score at the moment.

If I’m in that squad and I’m one of the players that want to play in that position I would be very upset at the moment because I don’t think he’s somebody he should be warranting a place as we speak.”

Manchester United are currently 7th in the Premier League table. They take on Derby County in a Carabao Cup fixture today. Manchester United’s next Premier League fixture is against West Ham on Saturday.
