Injured Duo Could Return Against Liverpool, Insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

In a major boost, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard could be available against Liverpool.

Manchester United didn’t require their service of the injured duo in the 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup but would welcome them in this crucial clash.

Solskjaer has been on a giant killing spree beating the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea most recently and victory against Liverpool is definitely very much possible given  United’s current form.

Both Martial and Lingard injured themselves in the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint Germain and were expected to be on the sidelines for quite a while. But as things stand both could be in the matchday squad for the game against Liverpool.

Solskjaer said, “I hope and think Anthony will be ready and I hope Jesse will be ready because it’s two different injuries.

“So maybe more hope than think, with Anthony as well, but he’s got a chance. Anyway, we still hope Jesse could be ready. Let’s see. We’ve still got a couple of days’ training left and they need to be part of it.”

“They’ve not been part of it yet, but they’ve been doing some recovery work and Anthony’s was a different muscle, of course, so we think that he might be ready and hope that Jesse will.”
