Rasmus Hojlund

As Inter Milan’s interest in Manchester United attacker Rasmus Hojlund increases, he is being linked to a return to Italy. Even though the United striker was probably left out of manager Ruben Amorim’s roster revamp following yet another patchy season, Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Inter has made him their top target for the summer transfer window.

Before a transfer to the Premier level derailed his bright future, Hojlund was signed from Atalanta and would return to a level he was familiar with and flourished in. Even though the Danish international made two more appearances in the Premier League last season, he only scored four goals, which was less than Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez.

Hojlund’s lackluster performances for United have prompted Inter, who narrowly lost the Serie A title and were thrashed 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, to look into a loan agreement with a buyout option.

Romano confirms Inter Milan have contacted Rasmus Hojlund

The Denmark international, who cost roughly £70 million to acquire from Atalanta, has been a terrible addition to the Red Devils. Inter, though, continues to see promise in the 22-year-old.

According to reports, Inter would be willing to shell out over €40 million (£33.7 million) for a striker who could seriously challenge Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram for a starting position. The newspaper claims that Hojlund is the favorite candidate for the position.

After impressing with his speed and physicality in Italy, the former Atalanta wonder has struggled to adjust to the intensity of the Premier League in England and has appeared like a shadow of his former self.

If Inzaghi can assist the Dane in regaining his confidence in his familiar environment, he might end up being a great acquisition.

United is resolute in their decision to break ties with Hojlund. The People’s Person recently reported that Ruben Amorim was very surprised by how bad Hojlund has been for the Mancunians.
