Jesse Lingard Edging Closer To A Manchester United Exit

Jesse Lingard is preparing to leave Manchester United, according to respected journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

The England international has lost touch with his fans after consistently being out of form for the Red Devils.

He earlier claimed problems with family to be the reason behind his poor performances recently. Lingard also switched agents, taking on one of the most controversial people to represent him professionally – Mino Raiola. Fabrizio Romano told United Stand, “I think when a player goes with Mino Raiola, it’s because he wants to change clubs.”

Romano’s sentiments might be ushered by the entire speculation behind Paul Pogba’s Old Trafford future. While the Frenchman has been with Raiola for years, Lingard only him on as his agent recently. Talks of an exit from United have also surfaced earlier this season to potential other Premier League outfits.

Lingard did enjoy a consistent run of games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He mostly featured in an attacking midfield role even though he primarily developed as a winger. A lack of form saw him get dropped for the younger Mason Greenwood and Daniel James a number of times after. With Bruno Fernandes now in the side and Pogba, recovering from injury, Lingard might find playing time harder to come by next season.
