Erik ten Hag explains why Alejandro Garnacho was an unused substitute

Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United is apparently a target for Juventus, who are thinking of a trade to make the move possible. Due to questions about how well the Argentine winger would fit into Ruben Amorim’s tactical scheme and the club’s financial restructuring plans, he was linked to a move away from Old Trafford in January.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are also monitoring Garnacho, but Juventus has recently surfaced as a possible suitor, since the Italian team is actively looking to replace Kenan Yıldız. Manchester United has expressed interest in the Turkish forward, and Juventus is seeking to take advantage of this to get Garnacho in exchange.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Yıldız is being considered by a number of Premier League clubs. This season, the youthful attacker has contributed directly to ten goals, making him a desirable target. Romano did point out, though, that it is too soon to call for Yıldız to leave Juventus because of the recent managerial change.

Juventus are considering a move for Man United’s struggling star

Juventus is reportedly willing to negotiate a deal if it involves Garnacho relocating to Turin, according to the Italian website Tuttomercatoweb. With 47 appearances in all competitions this season, the 19-year-old has contributed nine goals and eight assists, making him a vital member of United’s squad.

Juventus and Manchester United may find themselves negotiating this interesting trade arrangement further as the summer transfer window draws near. For him, the Red Devils are asking for £67.5 million.

Garnacho must now be signed quickly by the Parthenopeans to avoid Juventus snatching him up. They are considering making a bid for the left winger, but they won’t do it until the summer of next year. This month, Man United is more concerned with getting rid of Marcus Rashford than Garnacho. The Argentine is unlikely to be sold during this transfer window.

That might alter, though, if Napoli or any other team chooses to pay a fair price for his talents. This might help strengthen other sections of the team and enable Man United to sign a replacement. Last summer, Garnacho was thought to be invincible, but the Red Devils have already changed their mind.
