According to reports, Italian powerhouse Juventus will beat Chelsea in the hunt to recruit Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho on a loan. Even after the England international resolved his disagreements with manager Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils had been willing to let him go this summer. While other teams have expressed interest in Sancho, reports in recent days have indicated that Juventus and Chelsea are the front-runners to land the player.
According to some rumors, Juventus would give up on Sancho if agreements were reached for Gonzalez and Conceicao. However, as the summer transfer season comes to an end, the Serie A powerhouse appears determined to continue talks with United. Federico Chiesa, an Italian forward linked to Barcelona, is being intensively pursued by Liverpool, and his exit from Turin would make room in Motta’s team for Sancho.
Juventus send Manchester United first formal offer
Gianluca Di Marzio says that Manchester United has been notified by Juventus that they are prepared to pay a sum of approximately €7–€8 million to sign Sancho on a direct loan arrangement for the 2024–25 season. That would be a contract structure akin to the one Juventus and Porto settled on for Conceicao.
However, Juventus anticipates that United will continue to foot a portion of Sancho’s high pay for that amount. United’s response is currently awaited by Juventus, and it is expected to reach them on Thursday.
