Adrien Rabiot, a former Juventus player, is a possible midfield addition that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has highlighted as a possible addition. Ten Hag is keen to add a new player this summer. Following his departure from Juventus, Adrien Rabiot is reportedly scheduled to have meetings with Manchester United and Liverpool in the coming days.
The 29-year-old Frenchman, who had his contract at the Allianz Stadium expire this week, became a free agent and will formally announce his exit from the Italian powerhouse this week. Following that decision, other elite European clubs are expected to show interest in signing the midfield maestro, who is also considering a transfer to the Premier League after receiving attention from two of the biggest clubs in England.
£145,000 a week contract will get this deal done
The player, who has drawn attention from the SPL, has reportedly offered himself to Premier League powerhouses Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool in order to further his career in Europe. Rabiot would be persuaded by a contract worth about €9 million net, or about £145,000 each week, according to an Italian publication called Calciomercato.
Rabiot is a flexible midfield player who can operate as a #8 if necessary or as part of a double pivot. He has occasionally covered for France at left back. The Frenchman would be an improvement over Scott McTominay since he is a physically gifted box-to-box midfield player. Manchester United could lose Casemiro this summer, leaving the team shorthanded in an already thin midfield.
