According to reports, Juventus have still not abandoned the hope of signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. The Red Devils are reportedly braced for a late bid from the Bianconeri before the Italian transfer window closes on 18 August.

Paul Pogba and Mino Raiola have already revealed his intentions to leave the club this summer. Real Madrid are also being touted as contenders for his signature. However, Zidane is said to be loggerheads with Florentino Perez.

United have reportedly slapped a £150m price tag on the Frenchman to stop him from leaving. Los Blancos have baulked at the asking price and it looks almost impossible for them to sign him this summer.

Pogba switched to Juventus from Manchester United in 2012 and played three seasons in Turin, before returning to Old Trafford in a club-record £90m deal.

Manchester United are set to block all attempts from potential suitors who aim to land the 26-year-old, given that they already passed the chance to sign Christian Eriksen. The Tottenham midfielder, who is set to leave the club this summer, was linked with a United move as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba on the transfer deadline day.

The Frenchman is set to feature in United’s crunch Premier League opener against Chelsea tomorrow.
