Juan Mata is reportedly a potential target for Juventus.
The Manchester United midfielder scored the goal in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League. A number of United players’ contract are set for expiry at the end of this season and Mata is one of them.
The attacking midfielder has reportedly been offered a new deal but is taking his time to decide on his future. A number of clubs including Barcelona are believed to be hovering around for his signing.
The Italian giants are known for their shrewd transfer business. Earlier they roped in Emre Can from Liverpool and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey has also signed a pre contract with the Turin side.
Mata arrived in England in 2011 and had a wonderful stint with Chelsea. But having fallen out with Mourinho he made an unlikely move to the Red Devils and has been very influential for them.
Juventus are ready to make him one of the highest paid players which could tilt the negotiations to their favour. There has been a dearth of a proper number 10 in Max Allegri’s side and Mata fits the bill perfectly.
