Kalidou Koulibaly Advised Against Manchester United Transfer In January

Kalidou Koulibaly has been told by ESPN FC pundit, Alejandro Morenoto to wait till the end of the 2019/20 season to join Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been after the Napoli defender for a long time and reports suggest he could be available for £69m.

United are eager to strengthen their ranks but not specific over which position. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add more talents to his midfield ranks but this opportunity to sign Koulibaly might be too good to pass up on.

“I think Koulibaly has earned himself a summer move rather than a winter move,” Moreno said. “I believe that if he waits it out there’s going to be a few teams that are going to line up and if there are a few teams lining up, there’s demand, and if there’s demand then the price goes up.

“He will do well just to stay with Napoli, not jump to Manchester United just yet. I think there will be more of a market for him out there.”

Waiting till the end of the season might not be Koulibaly’s best move since his slowly creeping into his 30s. The Senegal international also has no career incentive to join United since they are not in the Champions League.
