Keane's taken on Eriksen to United

Manchester United will not necessarily benefit from signing Christian Eriksen, according to Roy Keane.

Asked if he would sign Eriksen, Keane told Sky Sports: “Not if I was the manager of Manchester United.”

“I think he [Eriksen] will get a move on a free, but I don’t think he’d improve those teams, and that’s the key for clubs like Man United trying to close that gap.

“He won’t make Manchester United better, but having said that Man United bought Fred.”

Eriksen is a Tottenham Hotspur player whose contract is about to end after this season. He has been linked with a move away from the club with Real Madrid and Manchester United both believed to be interested in the play maker.

Eriksen would nicely fill the gap in the midfield at United who desperately need a number 10 or a number 8. If Eriksen were to sign, alongside Pogba, he would be one of the better players with McTominay sitting behind.

However, Keane seems to believe otherwise. Maybe because as good as Keane was, he was never the creative genius that Eriksen is or he simply has the United DNA of mistakenly believing he is better than the best.
