Manchester United declared Rasmus Hojlund available for a move this summer; the club’s asking price and which teams are actually interested in him have now been made public. It appears that Manchester United is prepared to enhance the striker position. Additionally, Hojlund runs the possibility of being a casualty if a new signing is made.

Hojlund’s contract at Old Trafford is still in effect for three years, but he has had difficulty persuading in recent months. Given Joshua Zirkzee, another striker, also having inconsistent play, something may have to go. Many indicators have been pointing to a Højlund summer sale recently. Some of those rumors originated in Italy, and some in England.

The most recent information from overseas, as Tuttomercatoweb confirms that Hojlund is available for a transfer this summer and explains the potential process. According to the Italian source, if Manchester United decides to sell Hojlund in the summer, they will be demanding €60 million. That would be almost £52 million.

Man Utd tipped to sell striker in the summer

For Hojlund, the second season at Manchester United has been worse than the first, and even that wasn’t very convincing. In an equivalent number of games this season, his goal total has decreased by half; he scored 16 goals from 43 games last season and has eight goals from 42 this season. Importantly, only three of those goals have been in the Premier League.

Although the Red Devils’ 2023 signing of Hojlund cost £64 million plus bonuses, it would have given them enough money for a capital gain. Approximately £38.4 million is Hojlund’s book value under Financial Fair Play criteria. Juventus has a lot more to decide before they can pursue Hojlund as a Vlahovic successor, even though his £85,000 weekly wage is thought to be modest for a striker.

Hojlund may also choose to sign with Napoli, who are interested in rotating former United star Romelu Lukaku. There seems to be a lot of work to be done on that front as well because Antonio Conte’s side’s interest is mentioned in the report, although in passing.
