Man United defeated Man City in the FA Cup final to win their second trophy under Erik ten Hag.
Man United manager Erik ten Hag has given the decision on the future at Old Trafford. He has insisted he will go “somewhere else” to win trophies if he is relieved of his duties in England.
There were some reports that new Man United co-owner had decided they would sack the Dutchman following the Wembley showdown with Man City.
Man United surprised everyone and defeated Man City 2-1 in the final to win their 13th trophy and second under Erik ten Hag. It was their first FA Cup success in eight years.
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo scored the early goals to put United ahead in the game. Jeremy Doku scored a goal back in the 87th minute but it wasn’t enough.
While talking to reporters after the game, Ten Hag admitted: “Two trophies in two years is not bad. Three finals in two years is not bad.
“I’m not satisfied with it. We have to do better. If they don’t want me, then I go somewhere else to win trophies because that is what I do.”
When asked whether he still has the support of Ratcliffe and his INEOS colleagues, Ten Hag said: “That is what they always tell me.”
Man United boss added: “How many times do I have to tell you? Every time is the same question. Do I have to repeat myself 10, 15, 20 times?
“They don’t have to tell me every week if they tell me so often. I never – and I was in some clubs before – [been told] every day you are the best and I want to build with you. I heard it many times.”
