As he continues to concentrate on Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is prepared to sell his interest in Nice. Saudi Arabia is interested, although the INEOS chief joined the French club six years ago.

Having purchased Nice for £89 million in 2019, Ratcliffe’s subsequent acquisition of Old Trafford as a co-owner only expanded his football holdings. But now that the French team is in fifth place in Ligue 1, the British millionaire is prepared to sell.

According to the French publication L’Informe, Nice has competed in France without winning any awards, and Ratcliffe is prepared to let them go. Ratcliffe’s position is known to the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which presently controls Newcastle, and they are evaluating an offer.

Although Nice has talented players, the United co-owner is not well-liked by everyone along the Riviera and has said in the past that he doesn’t like the caliber of football that is played there.

It seems that Ratcliffe has been concentrating on Manchester United ever since he invested £1.3 billion for a 27.7% share in the Red Devils. In the near future, the wealthy Brit has already declared plans to construct a brand-new stadium with 100,000 seats, costing £2 billion.

In addition, he has slashed roughly 500 jobs, eliminated free meals for Old Trafford employees, and canceled the staff Christmas party as part of the club’s drastic cost-cutting measures.

All of this has happened at the same time that United has had its worst season ever on the field, with manager Ruben Amorim frantically trying to salvage a poor domestic campaign that has the team mired in 14th place in the Premier League by winning a European trophy.

The only managerial move Ratcliffe has had to make is the removal of Erik ten Hag and the appointment of Ruben Amorim. Despite the fact that the new manager has caused the team to regress, the billionaire has maintained that the Portuguese coach will have support in the summer.
