According to the Daily Briefing, Manchester United has communicated with the agents of Vinicius Junior, a Brazilian striker for Real Madrid who is unsettled. If Vinicius does decide to leave the Bernabeu, Manchester City is probably going to join the Red Devils in their pursuit, but this is still far from guaranteed.
Industry insiders maintain that Vinicius and club president Florentino Perez get along well and that Real are attempting to retain him. However, there are problems between Vinicius and manager Xabi Alonso; since his summer arrival, a few senior players have not exactly warmed up to him.
Vinicius’s contract with Madrid expires in 2027; therefore, if they are unable to convince him to sign a new contract, United and other teams may be able to sign him. MUFC have already established their interest with the player’s representation, but it’s still too early to tell for sure if it’s a deal that can actually go anywhere.
United to make record-breaking offer to sign Madrid star
According to sources, Manchester United has made a historic offer to buy Federico Valverde, a midfielder for Real Madrid, ahead of the January transfer window. During the summer transfer window, the Red Devils spent more than £200 million on five new additions, with an emphasis on attacking area upgrades.
A fixed fee of €100 million plus €20 million in add-ons is being offered by Man Utd in an attempt to entice one of the most complete, physically imposing, and decisive players in world football away from Real Madrid.
For the Red Devils, whose largest acquisition to date was the £89 million they paid Juventus for Paul Pogba in 2016, the €120 million (£105 million) fee would be a record. INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe “want to build a project with Valverde as its cornerstone and don’t hesitate to place him among the most expensive signings in the club’s history.”
