The number of outstanding managers who can lead Manchester United and are available to take over before the upcoming season is dwindling daily.

Another name that many United fans would gladly embrace as their manager is Luis Enrique, who has been called “the best manager in the world.” However, many in Manchester would be disappointed by the recent developments in Paris.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Luis Enrique, the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, is adored within Manchester United, with certain individuals at Old Trafford hoping the 55-year-old Spaniard will take over as manager. “There were some stories in England about this, and many of you keep asking me the reality of Luis Enrique and Manchester United,” Romano stated on his YouTube channel.

Fabrizio Romano, however, revealed that Enrique is now “advancing” toward writing new conditions in Paris while reporting on his YouTube channel. Romano said that Enrique is admired by Manchester United and that one club official even “dreams” of employing him. However, given that Enrique is expected to stay in Paris for at least a few more years, it appears that Michael Carrick, the interim manager, will be hired permanently.
According to Romano, “there is someone at Manchester United who is a huge fan and dreams of Luis Enrique as Manchester United’s manager one day.” Additionally, the newspaper claims that Carrick’s performance thus far has impressed the United executives who will ultimately make the final managerial decision. “Man Utd are very happy with the work done so far by Carrick,” he went on. They have no doubts about Carrick.
They are using an internal procedure to determine the appropriate course of action for the managerial circumstance. “We are aware that they must choose a permanent manager for 2026–2027 and beyond; this is still the plan, and they continue to discuss it internally, but they have complete faith in Michael Carrick.”
