Juventus has been approached by Manchester United in their quest for offensive reinforcements, and Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a possible low-cost summer addition.
According to CaughtOffside, the Italian powerhouses are now open to selling the 25-year-old forward for a hefty discount—possibly as little as £25 million. Compared to the £66.6 million, this represents a startling decline. In January 2022, Juventus invested money to sign him.
Rúben Amorim is well aware of how much United’s team needs offensive reinforcements. The Portuguese tactician is under increasing pressure to get the Red Devils back to their competitive level as the team is lagging behind in the race for European qualification.
Because of his exceptional movement in and around the penalty area, powerful physical presence, and killing instincts in front of the net, Vlahovic is considered one of the best number nines in Europe. Vlahovic may be a desirable answer to United’s goal-scoring problems given his 16 goal contributions this season across all competitions.
Man United prepared to sign Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic
GIVEMESPORT claims that after failing to persuade Vlahovic to sign a new deal, Juventus has “turned their attentions towards” selling him. There are now concerns that Juve might lose the 25-year-old for free at the end of the 2025–2026 season as he approaches the last 12 months of his contract in Turin. Additionally, United “could sign Vlahovic for a shockingly low fee during the summer.”
The Serbian international, who joined the Serie A team in 2022 for a reported £65 million from Fiorentina, is expected to fetch roughly £35 million from the transfer. However, Juventus is reportedly in a panic over his expiring contract, which pays him nearly £315,000 per week, so a bid as little as £25 million “may be enough to get the deal over the line.”
Juve’s softer approach should appeal to United, who are in dire need of a consistent goal scorer because both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund find it difficult to put the ball in the net frequently. United has also been connected to players like Samu Aghehowa and Victor Osimhen in recent days.
