Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandez has defended his team-mate Paul Pogba, saying his critics have forgotten about the qualities he has.
The Portuguese national team player believes that the world champion has been criticized because of the high expectations from him.
The Frenchman has only played in eight Premier League games this season and is struggling with an injury. He has been linked with a return to Juventus since the beginning of the year. Bruno Fernandes believes Pogba has been unfairly criticized.
 “We can say for sure that in football, people usually forget what you did well and remember when you made a mistake. You can play 34 good matches and one bad match and everyone will remember that match. Paul is having a bad time. When he played, the team did not perform well because the expectations for him were high. Pogba is a top player and Manchester United paid a lot for him, said Fernandes.
According to him, everyone expects Pogba to play like Cristiano Ronaldo or Leo Messi.
 -“Everyone expects this from Paul at Manchester United because they know he has the qualities to do it. The team has a lot of confidence in him”, the Red Devils midfielder added.
